Inland Wetlands Commission: December Report

The Inland Wetlands Commission conducted their monthly meeting on December 7th at the Town Hall. Present were commissioners Alan Kinsella, Lorraine Lucas, Devin Stillson and Donte Malanca (new member). Kinsella chaired the meeting. Martin Conner, Enforcement Officer, was also present. Chairman Tom Stansfield, Commissioners Ray Turri and Brandy Summerlin were absent.

Old Business

The application for Woodridge Lake Lot 477 to construct a  and utilities was updated with an up-to-date wetland assessment report. The application is now complete and was tabled to provide the Commissioners with time to review the new information.

The Engineering firm presented the updated project plan for shoreline stabilization on the Woodridge Lake property located at 192 E Hyerdale Dr. The application was previously tabled to ensure that the application would adhere to Woodridge Lake Environmental Control Committee requirements. An engineered dry-stack stone wall was presented to the Commissioners. The application was approved.

New Business:

The application was approved to grant a 5-year permit extension to property located on Milton Rd, Map 06, Lot 010, 08 provided exact same conditions outlined in permit # 19-1W are followed.

The Engineering firm presented an application to construct a driveway crossing a regulated wetlands area for property on Ivy Mountain Rd, Map 05 Lot 027 00. The application was accepted.

A request was submitted to modify an existing permit (21-28W) for the Woodridge Lake Property located at 12 Wynwood Ct. The existing lake front wall will be removed, and the bank re-stabilized with rip- rap. The request for modification was approved. An ECC Application must be submitted.

The Inland Wetlands Enforcement Report was presented. Two updates were provided- An Agent determination was made to grant an extension for 106 Sandy Beach Rd to construct a new septic system and well. The homeowners of 209 West Hyerdale Drive who constructed a lake front wall without Inland Wetlands or ECC approval are looking for a new contractor.

Lastly, under correspondence, a lawsuit was turned over to the Town Attorney. Nothing to currently discuss.
