About Us
Goshen News, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, funded by tax-deductible donations and local advertising. By offering free print editions, sent to every mailing address in Goshen, as well as free digital access, The Goshen News will make essential news and information available to everyone.
The Goshen News is committed to the Goshen, Connecticut community it serves. Through staff reporters and other content contributors who have deep community ties and topical expertise, The Goshen News aims to build community cohesion, elevate untold stories, spotlight local businesses and charities, celebrate milestone events and achievements of local residents, promote transparency in public issues, and provide the facts we need to make informed decisions. Our goal is to report the news accurately and fairly. Accordingly, our news reporting will focus on the basic facts, the “5 W’s”: Who, What, When, Where and Why. Opinion pieces will be restricted to the Editorial pages, and will aim to provide a platform for diverse, responsible voices and perspectives. The Goshen News has adopted the Code of Ethics of the Society of Professional Journalists. (Please see our Code of Ethics page.)
