Obituary: Jason David Ellis
Jason David Ellis, 84 Ashley Drive was born July 15, 1976, and went home to the loving arms of his savior, Jesus Christ, at age 47, on November 3, 2023. He was
born the only child, to Jeffrey Ellis and Sharon Ronalter Ellis. He lived the majority of his life in Torrington, Harwinton and Goshen and graduated from Torrington High School in 1994.
His working career was focused on customer service, but his passion was IT sales. Jason got his sales charisma from his grandfather. The last 10 years of his life, he devoted
to caring for his mom who had multiple healthcare issues over the years which eventually led to her disability. He cared for his mom till she passed on January 6 of this year.
He loved the time he shared with Tonya, Shawna and Laura and Selena. To Jason’s friends both old and new, thank you for being there for him. We are so very grateful to all of
you. Jason is survived by his aunts and uncles, Steve and Debbie Nadaskay, of Goshen whom he lived with, Rick and Linda Ronalter of Torrington and his cousins, Ruth and Seth
Ronalter.
We want to extend our gratitude to the Ct State Police Troop L for all their support and kindness during this difficult time and their wonderful canine unit. We would also like to thank the Resident State Trooper of Harwinton and the Harwinton Volunteer Ambulance for their assistance and compassion. In lieu of flowers, we would ask you to donate to prevent suicide at: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 199 Water Street New York, NY 10038, or the Ct State Police Troop L, 452A Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT. 06756
Jason suffered many losses throughout his 47 years. Like all of us, he had demons and struggled with them for over 20 years. Please if you are hurting and suffering reach out to find the help you need. Don’t let the demons win. Drugs don’t fix the problem they only create more problems. We hope that you remember Jason David Ellis at six foot two, with blondish hair and blue eyes for his giant hugs that would scoop you off your feet, his wonderful smile and for being there when you needed him most. I will remember a little blond hair boy who called me “Dede”, didn’t let anyone else call me “Dede”, loved his mom unconditionally, had me wrapped around his little pinky, and who I will remember every day, miss every second, and love every moment I spent with him for the rest of my life!
