In spite of the rejection by Morris voters, the referendum passed, based on the total popular vote for all four towns.

At their last board meeting on November 21st, the board asked the acting superintendent to look into another round of ways to trim the budget. We are very aware that there are not a lot of places we can go to find "fat" to be trimmed without affecting teaching staff. We are awaiting results of an audit that will be presented on Dec 10th in Litchfield and on the 11th to Region 6. Based on those results, the board will potentially have information we can use to make better informed decisions about moving forward and constructing the budget for 25-26.

The R20 BOE signed a contract with CABE to begin the search for a permanent Superintendent. That process is expected to take months based on the expectations set forth by the search firm.
