1st Round of Email Addresses for Town Officials

As was stated in the July 2023 edition of The Goshen News, email addresses used in the conduct of Town business are subject to Freedom of Information Act disclosure requirements. Many elected and appointed officials utilize their personal email addresses for Town business, and The Goshen News has no desire to expose personal information. Accordingly, a 6-month grace period was extended to allow anyone not using an @GoshenCT.gov email address to obtain a free Gmail or other account that would be suitable for public disclosure or (submit another source for communication such as a phone number) and would be used exclusively for Town business. Some did that, some did not.

Despite discouragement from some officials, Goshen residents have the right to contact their public officials directly and The Goshen News is facilitating residents’ the ability to do so. The following are a first installment, to be supplemented as additional information becomes available. These will be added to our website in the weeks to come under “contacts”.
