Our 2026 Farmers’ Markets Open

Our 2026 Farmer’s market season has begun, opening in new locations, with more venders and a wider variety of products; including garden plants and flowers, fruits and vegetables, cheeses, preserves, herbs, spices, candies, syrups, baked goods, beverages, mushrooms, organic meats, natural lotions, soaps and skin care products. Several locations have added or combined crafts, collectors and concerts. 

While many markets have already filled their vender slots, some have wait lists. New markets have opened and others have changed locations, expanding to offer and accommodate more venders and more variety. Others may offer shared spots and/or weeks, so we encourage prospective venders to reach out to our markets and find a place for their offerings. 

Shoppers, keep in mind that our farmers’ markets are both “green” and organic. Yet, you can work with neighbors and venders to keep costs reasonable. Vendors are faced with state certification fees, courses for safe food handling, cleaning and preparation facilities, inspections, supplies, and of course, market membership costs. However, there are savings in shipping, handling and packaging. Most vendors appreciate it when you bring your own shopping bags, baskets, bags, bubble wrap or linens. Much of our glass and bottling supplies are imported from the Ukraine. Boxes and paper products come with their own manufacturing costs and shipping fees. Save our vendors on packaging which would otherwise end up in our landfills. Of course, produce and products are grown locally and farm fresh, finding their way directly into your hands; without bumps and bruising that result from shipping, holding and storage. 

Connecticut offers a Farmers’ Market debit card program for Seniors and Disabled Residents, available through town and local Senior Centers. For 2026, individual annual income must be less than $29,526 or $40,034 for couples.
