WLPOA Board Incumbents to be Re-Elected Unopposed

Current Woodridge Lake Property Owners’ Association (WLPOA) Board members Stu- art Grodin, Lance Leifert, and Michael Edison will be re-elect- ed to 2-year terms beginning in January, 2026, as no other candi- dates sought nomination. Edison is the current President, Grodin is the current 1st Vice President, and Leifert is the current Treasurer. The Board’s 5 members are elected in alternating years, with 3 seats decided in odd numbered years and 2 decided in even numbered years.

In contested elections, where there are more candidates than seats,  the  Association’s  788 members vote by mail during the month of September. Nominating petitions must be submitted by June 30th. When the number of candidates equals the number of seats, the election is canceled and the Corporate Secretary casts a single vote for the slate of nominees. Current Secretary Steven Hurwitz will fulfill that function at the Board’s next meeting on July 26th.

This represents the third un- opposed re-election for Leifert and Edison, who were first chosen from a field of 7 candidates in 2019. Grodin joined the Board in 2023, replacing retiring member Richard Reis. In the 2024 election, 5 candidates competed for the 2 open seats, resulting in the re-election of long-serving member Henry Moore and the election of newcomer Hurwitz.

WLPOA is a planned com- munity of 788 lots located in West Goshen. Formed in the early 1970’s, the Association operates and maintains various amenities for its members, including a pool, clubhouse, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness center, playground, and a 385-acre lake with 4 beaches. Collectively, community members pay some approximately 65% of total Town of Goshen property taxes.
