Region 20 Updates

From our most recent meetings, the Board of Education is continually looking for ways to decrease spending due to the budget deficit the district faces. As we prepare to construct the new budget, we are going line by line to find cost savings within projects and identifying “must haves” for the upcoming year. It’s important that we keep our mission in mind as we make difficult decisions but at the end of the day, the resources we provide our staff and students are the most important. 

Thank you to our community members that participated in the superintendent survey. We received over 200 responses and were able to create a profile based on your feedback. The board will be holding meetings in February to begin the interview process for our new leadership.

It might be cold outside, but it’s warm in “The Den!” Join us for the final few weeks of boys and girls basketball at Lakeview high school. You can find the schedule on the Region 20 website under athletics. Both teams are vying for a spot in the playoffs! Let’s go Bobcats!!
