Goshen Garden Club

GOSHEN GARDEN CLUB members enjoyed a workshop on Floral Design lead by Trish Manfredi at their August meeting.  Trish served as chair of the Connecticut Judges Council for seven years until 2023. She is a National Garden Club Master Judge serving at flower shows throughout New England. The next meeting of the Goshen Garden Club will be on September 5, 2024 at Camp Cochipianee in Goshen.

GOSHEN GARDEN CLUB 2024 Scholarship Recipient

The Goshen Garden Club awards a scholarship annually to a graduate of WAMOGO High School who plans to major in Environment Sciences in their graduate studies.

Rosemary Bonaguide, President of The Goshen Garden Club, is shown presenting the award to Nicholas Boggio of Plymouth, the recipient of the 2024 Scholarship.  He is the son of Kelly and Michael Boggio.  Nicholas is a graduate of WAMOGO High School in Litchfield and a member of the National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, the Timber Team and Future Business Leaders of America.  His community service has included working with the Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut for seven years.

Nicholas will be attending SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York beginning with the 2024 Fall semester. 

Starting with the 2024/ 2025 academic year,  the scholarship will be awarded to a qualifying graduate of the newly formed Region School District 20, LAKEVIEW High School.
