Frances, 77, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at her home on Aug. 24. Born on April 28, 1949, in Norway, Maine, she was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Elsie. Frances is survived by her husband, Alan; son Brett; siblings Walter and Eola; and many relatives and friends.

Walter Edward Deane
Walter, 77, of Canaan, passed away peacefully on Sept. 5, with his son, daughter-in-law and grandson by his side to the very end. Born on Nov. 20, 1948, in West Halifax, Vt., he was the son of the late Vernon and Evelyn. He is survived by his son, Walter; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and 12 siblings.
Manley Robert “Bud” Coon
Bud 92, of Lee, MA entered into eternal rest on Sept. 1, 2026. Bud was born on June 7, 1934 in Canaan, CT. Bud is survived by his devoted wife Nora of 65 years, his siblings Russell and Caroline.

Josephine Scognamiglio
Josephine, 93, of Goshen, passed away Sept. 1. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Albreada. She was predeceased by her loving husband Adolph, as well as her siblings Ralph, Viola, and Norma. Josephine is survived by her children, Mary and Michael; two granddaughters; and one great granddaughter.
Frederick “Fred” Bate
Fred, 79, of Goshen, passed away peacefully on Aug. 28 at Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation in New Milford. Fred was born on Feb. 13, 1947, in Torrington, the son of the late Frederic and Doris. In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by his two children, Alexandra and John; three stepchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; his siblings Susan and James.

Jeanne Aprile
Jeanne of Litchfield, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Sept. 13. Born in Torrington, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Leo and Amelia Cattey. Jeanne leaves behind her beloved husband Tony; her children Jennifer and Anthony; and her cherished granddaughter Giuliana.

John of Litchfield, peacefully passed away on Sept. 13, at his home. John was born June 5, 1944, in Torrington, he is the son of the late Vincent and Della. In addition to his wife Donna, he is survived by his son John; his brother Vincent; and four nieces.
Barbara Helene Tanuis
Barbara, of Litchfield, passed away on Sept. 11, at the age of 79. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Samuel; her children, Eileen and Michael; and her grandchildren Cecelia and Zachary. She also leaves behind her three sisters, who were her constant companions.
Alfred Frederick Harnicar
Albert, of Litchfield, died peacefully at home on September 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and caregiver. Born on May 28, 1933, he was the son of Andrew and Mary. He is survived by his sisters Helen and Marjoriie, his children Gail, Susan, Linda, and Karen, six grandchildren & seven great-grandchildren.

Tim, age 83, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, at the Sgt. John L. Levitow Veteran’s Health Center in Rocky Hill. Tim was born on Aug. 7, 1943, in Waterbury, a son of the late Joseph and Katherine. Besides his wife, Joan, Tim leaves his siblings, Joseph, Mark, Eugene, William, Mary Ellen, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Brenda, 64, of Thomaston, passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2026, surrounded by her immediate family. She was born on July 30, 1962, to the late Lucien and Doris. She leaves behind her husband, Steven & her sister Rena.

Donna, 73, of Thomaston passed away peacefully at Saint Francis Hospital on Sept. 6. Donna was born in Waterbury, to Harry and Elizabeth. Donna is survived by her sisters Elizabeth and Joanne; several nieces and nephews; and many loving family members and friends.
Bruce Osterman
Bruce, 83, passed away peacefully on Aug. 28 surrounded by his family. He was born in Thomaston, on Dec. 28, 1942 to Alice and Gosta. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Carol. He leaves behind his children Bruce, Brian, and Damon; his step-children Lisa, David, and Andrew; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Allan, 31, of Torrington, passed away peacefully Sept. 12. He was born Dec. 27, 1994, in Hartford, son of Allan and Rebecca. Besides his parents, Allan leaves behind his grandparents; sister Emily; and his daughter Carter. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins..
Maurice “Moe” LaCourse
Moe, 89, of Torrington passed away in Bridgeport on Sept. 12. He was born May 28, 1937, in Burlington, Vermont, son of the late Maurice and Madeline. Moe leaves behind his children Lori, Michele, and Tina; his brother James; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeffrey, 86, of Torrington, passed away on Sept. 10. He was born on Feb. 9, 1940, in Norwalk, the son of the late Malcolm and Luigina Bray. In addition to his wife, Mary, Jeff is survived by five children Robin, Jeff, Gerry, Victor, and Alan & seven grandchildren.

Kay, aged 96, passed away peacefully on Sept. 6 in Hamden Born Oct. 18, 1929, in Torrington, Kay was the beloved child of Umbert and Evangeline. Kay is survived by her children Kathleen, Robin, Nancy, and Scott; and several great-grandchildren and grandchildren.

Jeanette passed Aug. 24, with her devoted daughter by her side at HavenCare at Litchfield Woods in Torrington. She was born on Feb. 16, 1942, in Manchester, New Hampshire to Yvette and Joseph. Jeannette is survived by her children Lorraine and Eugene; her siblings Irene and Jean; and her great-grandchildren and grandchildren.

Tristram Coffin Gaillard
Tristram, 82, passed away peacefully Sept. 11, surrounded by friends and family at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in New York City to the late Theodore and Patricia. Tristram will be greatly missed by his sons, Jared and Jason; and his three grandchildren Nelson, Charlotte & Anna and his sisters Christiana and Patty.

Perry Green
Perry, 79, of Winsted, passed away on Sept. 14 at the Torrington Center for Nursing and Rehab. Perry was born March 5, 1947, in Hartford, the son of the late Alec and Eleanor Green. In addition to his wife Margaret, he is survived by a sister Nancy, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Gloria passed away peacefully at HavenCare at Litchfield Woods Nursing Facility on Sept. 11, with family by her side. She was born in Winsted on Aug. 22, 1930 to Reuben and Beatrice. Gloria is survived by her three sons, several great-grandchildren and grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra “Sandy” English Adams
Sandy, 94, passed away on Sept. 5, surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born in 1932 in Oklahoma City. She moved to Winsted during her teenage years and remained there, creating a beautiful family with her husband Gay.
