Charles Warrell Shattuck

Charles “Skip,” of Goshen, passed away in Goshen on Dec. 24 after a long illness. Born in Mineola, New York, Skip was the son of Charles and Elsie. Skip is survived by his partner of over 15 years, Janet Dember, and by his siblings, Bob, Richie, and Jeannie.

Shirley Ann Pedone
Shirley, of Goshen, passed away Dec. 22. She was born in Torrington on July 6, 1938. Shirley is predeceased by her parents John “Red” Robbins and Dorothy. Shirley leaves behind husband Joseph, two daughters, her siblings, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Albert Diehl Jr.
Albert, 89, of Goshen, passed away on Dec. 18. He was the husband of JoAnn Diehl. Born Jan. 2, 1936, in New York City, he was the son of Albert and Margaret. Albert is survived by his wife, JoAnn; daughters Heidi and Tammy; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Alan Booth 
Alan, 73, passed away on Dec. 1 He is survived by his loving wife Ann; his sister Lorinda; and his niece. Alan was born in Torrington on April 29, 1952. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings.

Litchfield
Sherri Loomis Waldron

Sherri “Junior” passed unexpectedly Dec. 19 surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Sharon on Aug. 5, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen. Sherri is survived by her children, Luke and Marli; brothers, Mark and Tim; and several nieces and nephews.

Susan Lynn (Usher) LeVander 
Susan, 63, passed away on Dec. 11. She was the wife of Steven LeVander. Susie was born on March 9, 1962, in Torrington, to the late Robert and Beverly Usher. In addition to her husband and mother, Susan is survived by two daughters, Meagan and Kathleen. Susan also leaves behind two grandchildren, two siblings, and several nieces and nephews.

Constance Carroll Eaves Peck
Constance passed away on Dec. 4. She is predeceased by her husband George Peck, her daughters Carroll and Cheryl, eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Edward James Cattey
Edward, 87, of Litchfield, passed away at his home on Dec. 2. Edward was born in Torrington on April 11, 1938, to the late Edward and Mildred. He leaves behind three children, several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Edward also leaves his siblings Henry and Virginia.

Thomaston
Shirley Kellas

Shirley, 85, of Thomaston, wife of the late Roy, passed away, Dec. 24, at home with her family by her side. She was born July 22, 1940, in Bristol, daughter of the late George Sr. and Ann Bernoski. Shirley is survived by her sons Robert and John, her granddaughter, and her sister. Shirley was predeceased by her brother George.

Peter Joseph Torrence
Peter, 61, passed away on Dec. 22. He was born April 13, 1964. Peter is survived by sisters, Patrica and Maureen, and his brother, Eugene. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews.

Valentin Collazo 
Valentin “Val,” 18, of Thomaston tragically passed away on Dec. 22 after an automobile accident.

David H. Galusha 
David, 84, passed away on Dec. 17. He was the beloved husband of Edith for 62 years. He leaves behind his four children Amanda, Christina, Jeffrey, and Joshua. David is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

Richard Anthony Screen
Richard “Bud,” 80, of Thomaston, passed away Dec. 15 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bud was born on July 8, 1945, in Waterbury, son of the late Harry and Eda. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Judith; his daughters Kathy-Jo, Suzanne and Jennifer; and several grandchildren.

Bonnie Louise Hill 
Bonnie, 82, of Thomaston, passed Dec. 14 at Complete Care at Glendale in Naugatuck. She was born in Waterbury on Oct. 28, 1943, to the late John and Bett MacDonald. Bonnie is survived by her children Tammie, Brian and Lisa; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother Scott. She was predeceased by Roger, her son.

Richard Galullo
Richard “Richie,” 71, of Thomaston, passed away at home on Dec. 12. He was the devoted husband of LeeAnn, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Richie was born in Waterbury on Feb. 23, 1954, to Daniel and Norma. Richie leaves behind his children Deanna and Daniel, as well as several grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Rosalie Murphy
Rosalie, 79, passed away on Dec. 9. She was the beloved wife of Philip J. Murphy. Rosalie was born in Waterbury on May 12, 1946, daughter of the late Louis and Evelyn Diliberto. Including her husband, Rosalie leaves behind her children Patrick, Breia, and Michael, as well as several grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Lois, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan Chesanek-Millard 
Joan, 60, of Thomaston, passed away on Dec. 3, surrounded by loved ones at Hartford Hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1965, in Danbury, daughter of the late Thomas and Joan Lea Andrews. Joan is survived by her children Noralea and Patrick. Other survivors include her brother, Billy, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Torrington
Keith F. Friday

Keith, 78, died on Dec. 22 in Torrington. He was born June 30, 1947, in Torrington and was the youngest of eight children. Keith is survived by his wife Dolores, his three daughters, and five grandchildren.

Joan Sheehy 
Joan, 80, passed away on Dec. 19. She was the wife of the late William, and was born in Bridgeport, Jan. 22, 1945. Joan was the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl. She is survived by her children William, Deborah, and Renee, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kathleen Ackley
Kathleen, 88, of Torrington, passed away Dec. 16. She was born in Waterbury, Oct. 16, 1937, daughter of the late Matthew and Helen. She is survived by her son Kenneth, and her nieces and nephews.

William H. McCabe
After a lengthy illness, William passed away on Dec. 15 in Torrington. He was born on July 18, 1947, in Albany, New York, son of the late Edward and Mary McCabe. He is survived by his siblings Edward McCabe, Susanne, and Mary; sons William, Patrick, and James; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mary Lovallo
Mary, 84, of Torrington, passed away Dec. 8, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of Dennis.

Caterina Madia
Caterina, 91, of Torrington, passed away on Dec. 8 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Emilio. Caterina was born Oct. 1, 1934, in Italy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Kathleen Perrotti
Kathleen “Kae,” 87, of Torrington, passed away on Dec. 8 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her eight siblings. Kae’s greatest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dolores Krause
Dolores, 94, of Torrington, passed away Dec. 5 at Lakeland Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles.

Francha Gardella
Francha, 85, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 5. She was the wife of Robert Gardella and the mother of Laurie and the late Robert, and grandmother to Marena.

Washington
Leslie LeBlanc Smith

Leslie passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 21. She was born in Norwalk on Oct. 11, 1942. She was the daughter of Audrey and Daniel. Leslie is survived by her beloved sons Basil, Dumain, her partner Clifton Patrick, and her grandsons.

Winsted
John Hirsch

John, 60, of Winsted, passed away on Dec. 23 at his residence. He was born on Dec. 12, 1965, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota — the son of John A. and LeeAnn. John is survived by his wife Kristine, son Joshua, four grandchildren, his parents, and several siblings, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Elizabeth Kelsey 
Elizabeth “Betty,” 93, passed away on Dec. 6 after a brief illness. She was married to Neil, and was born at Winsted Memorial Hospital. Betty was the daughter of the late Florence and Franklin Dings. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Neil and Susan. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, siblings, and nieces and nephews.

Patrick Michael Sullivan
Patrick, 78, passed away on Dec. 9, after a long illness. He was the husband of Diane for 46 years. Born June 21, 1947, in Winsted, he was the son of the late Martin and Dorothy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Krista, and many nieces and nephews.
